  1. Kelly I love this topic. I’ve started the process of trying to get my book reviewed and its hard to know where to start. It gets expensive at $99-300 a pop and my book is at the printer right now so submitting months in advance that many review sites want, is out of the question for me. What would you recommend as cost-effective routes for printed books? Do I just need to pay the price and hope the company reviewing the book is prestigious enough to make someone notice?

Okay, on to your question — submitting advance copies to reviewers is hard for authors who are self-publishing, but don’t worry about that. You have other options. * Should you pay for a book review?

There are many free options where the only cost to you is the cost of the book and shipping. But, if you’re not a do-it-yourselfer and want help submitting your book to reviewers, my company does provide that service:
